Soholm Wall Decor 3555 – 2

Soholm Wall Decor 3555 Plaque.  This plaque features a long garland of flowers, probably daisies.  The outline of the flowers and stems is raised above the ground creating deep pools into which the contrasting blue-green and white glazes.  The depth of the glaze and firing techniques produce a crackle effect which reflects the light beautifully.  Designed in 1960s by Josef Simon fully marked. The reverse is marked with the design number and the factory marks.  It is worth noting that this plaque has two pierced bridges that would allow the plaque to be strung so that it can be mounted vertically or horizontally.
